Tariff Literacy Learning Programme

The Tariff Literacy Learning Programme is designed to help market vendors, farmers, and small business operators better understand the factors that influence changes in prices and business costs. While tariffs are one of these factors, the programme focuses on the practical questions that vendors encounter in their day-to-day business operations, including:

  • Why do prices of goods and supplies change?
  • What local and international factors influence the cost of products sold in the market?
  • How do economic developments and trade-related decisions affect vendors and small businesses?
  • What should vendors be paying attention to when making business decisions in a changing market environment?

The programme provides an opportunity for participants to come together, ask questions, share experiences, and gain a better understanding of the forces affecting their businesses and livelihoods.

The session will be facilitated by Mr. Joel Abraham, who will lead an interactive and practical discussion using real-world examples that are relevant to market vendors and small business owners.
