WHAT IS FEE?

The Fiji Enterprise Engine (FEE) is Fiji’s first private sector-led business incubator and accelerator programme, delivered by the Fiji Commerce and Employers Federation (FCEF).

Established in 2019, FEE was created to transform Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) into stronger, more competitive, and future-ready businesses by providing structured capability building, personalised coaching and peer-supported learning tailored to the realities of doing business in Fiji.

FEE operates on the principle of “entrepreneurs supporting entrepreneurs”, leveraging the expertise of local business owners alongside strategic public and development sector partners to ensure real-world impact for participating enterprises.

How FEE Works?

Each year, a competitive cohort of approximately 15 established MSMEs — typically businesses with at least two years of operations — is selected to join FEE’s six-month accelerator programme. All coaching is delivered by experienced business leaders and practitioners, helping participants apply real-world solutions and critical business insights directly to their enterprises.Participants engage in intensive training and one-on-one mentoring across key business disciplines:

Strategic Management
Accounting & Financial Management
Branding & Marketing
Human Resources & Industrial Relations
Business Technology

These partnerships unify private sector experience with public and development support, ensuring technical depth, financial sustainability and broader accessibility for Fiji’s entrepreneurs. FEE’s impact is made possible through a broad network of government, development and private-sector partners, whose support enriches the programme and strengthens Fiji’s MSME ecosystem:

Impact & Outcome

Alumni have collectively increased sales revenue by millions of FJD and raised significant grant and debt financing, reflecting enhanced investor confidence.
FEE has supported dozens of MSMEs to grow and strengthen their businesses through tailored acceleration support.
The programme has contributed to job creation, strengthened revenue streams and fostered a community of growth-minded entrepreneurs who continue to engage as mentors and partners in subsequent cohorts.
Partnerships with alumni have formalised, including MOUs where former participants now support new cohorts as mentors and sponsors.
