The Ministry of Lands and Mineral Resources has announced a nationwide public consultation on the review of the Mining Act 1965 and the Quarries Act 1939. The consultation process aims to gather feedback from industry stakeholders to help inform proposed legislative reforms and ensure the legal framework remains effective and relevant to current and future industry needs.
Members operating within, or impacted by, the mining, quarrying, construction, logistics, and related sectors are encouraged to participate and share their views during the consultation period.
