A 3 day training for employers on Management of Fair and Ethical Recruitment & Employment of Migrant Workers started today and was opened by the Minister for Fiji Ministry of Employment, Productivity and Workplace Relations.
This first time training for employers aims to build the capacity of employers to protect the rights of foreign workers and at the same time enhance the productivity at the enterprise level.
Fiji Commerce & Employers Federation (FCEF) recognizes that 6,460 work permits have been issued to 774 companies from August 2023 to January 2025 and the numbers are projected to increase.
