Tourism & Transport Council

Driving prosperity through connectivity and hospitality in Fiji

The Tourism & Transport Council (TTC) plays a crucial role in Fiji’s economy as one of its largest and essential sectors. The council’s primary aim is to advocate for the interests of the tourism and transport industry within the framework of its affiliation with relevant stakeholders in the Fiji Commerce and Employers Federation (FCEF).

The council strives to promote cooperation and collaboration among various industry stakeholders, such as businesses, government agencies, and community groups in Fiji. It actively works towards providing valuable information and support services to its members. These services include training programs, networking opportunities, and advocacy on matters that impact the industry.

Overall, the TTC is dedicated to advancing the interests of the tourism and transport sector in Fiji by fostering unity and collective action among its stakeholders.

What We Do

The Tourism and Transport Council advocates for council members by raising their concerns with the FCEF Board and relevant government entities. In response to the COVID 19 pandemic and border closures, we provided council members with information on COVID protocols and tourism updates to help them prepare for the reopening of borders. Tourism is one of the most thriving industries in Fiji right now and TTC works closely with industries towards their growth and prosperity.

The council has also worked closely with stakeholders to identify major obstacles faced by the trucking and bus industries, as well as inefficiencies in the road network system. We have also addressed the growing issue of skilled labor shortages. These important issues were included in FCEF’s submission to the National Economic Forum and brought up for discussion in other relevant forums.
