The Fiji Commerce and Employers Federation is proud to support the Women Entrepreneurs Business Council – WEBC in hosting the Women Invigorating the Nation (WIN) Convention 2025!

Today marks the beginning of an inspiring two-day event themed “Championing Inclusivity and Blazing New Trails for the Future.” FCEF is thrilled to see such a powerful gathering of women leaders, entrepreneurs, and change-makers at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva.

FCEF believes in empowering women and fostering an inclusive business environment. This convention is a vital step towards achieving that goal.

Highlights of the opening included insightful remarks by the WEBC Chair, Ms. Vera Chute, who emphasized on the Councils:

1. Commitment to Leadership & Board Readiness

WEBC’s partnership with ADB is empowering women with the skills and confidence to step into executive and boardroom roles.

2. Advancing Workplace Equality & Inclusivity

Stronger policies and industry efforts are needed to ensure equal opportunities for women, especially in male-dominated sectors.

This also included a powerful address by Hon. Sashi Kiran, Minister for Ministry of Women, Children and Social Protection – Fiji who spoke on:

1. Empowering Women Through Inclusivity & Networking

Building strong public-private partnerships and mentorship spaces to support women’s leadership and confidence in the workplace.

2. Driving Action for Workplace Equality

Encouraging industry councils to push for female representation in leadership and fostering support systems for women in all stages of their careers.
